stem the verb stem remains in bare form e.g.  'eat' becomes as in example

(25c) and in case of consonant final stem, the epenthetic vowel - occurs between

consonant final stem and the present tense morpheme, resulting in   as

shown in (25a). But in case of past,  turns into  by dipthongization process
as in (24c) and becomes  as shown in (24d).

Here are the examples to illustrate present tense:
