the subject of the active sentence is marked by suffix - in passive construction; and
(ii) the inflectional passive, which is formed by suffixing - to the non-passive main
verb followed by an appropriate agreement. The passive construction in Bhojpuri are
summarized as follows:
(i)Passivization formed by either of the suffix -, -, -or-, to the verb
stem followed by the verb 'go',

Sentence (84 a) is an active sentence and sentence (84 b) is a passive sentence. Both
sentences have a subject and an object. The passive sentence consists of a subject and
suffix - and the transitive verb 'eat' is suffixed with - or -, followed by
the verb ' go' in agreement with the subject. If the verb is vowel - final then it is
suffixed with - or - but in case of consonant final verb stem, the verb is
suffixed with-or - as in:
