6.1.2 Syntactic Causativization
Syntactic device is used in the causativization process. A 'vector' bears the causative
meaning which follows the bare form of main verb. So this is also called periphrastic.
In the process of derivation the subject is demoted to the object position and a new
subject is introduced. This new subject is designated as a causer.

In the sentence (83b) the main verb is followed by the vector -. In Bhojpuri
language, the vector, used is - which bears the meaning of 'cause' in the syntactic
construction. The subject of sentence (83a) causer is demoted to object position
in sentence (83b) and new causer is introduced, which is new causer and in the
subject position.
6.2 Passivization
It refers to a sentence, clause or verb form where the grammatical subject is typically
the recipient or 'goal' of the action demoted by the verb (Crystal 2003:339).
Both transitive and intransitive verbs can be passivized in Bhojpuri. There are two
types of passivization process in Bhojpuri: (i) the passive construction which is
obtained by means of morphological process in an active sentence. In this type the
