                           c) Subordinators
Clausal or phrasal subordinators are part of the grammatical morphology
attached to particular embedded and/or subordinate clauses, discussed in detail in

Chapter 12. However, some adverbial and relative clause subordinators in Bhojpuri
                           are presented as in (98a-d).

                              (98) a. य6द /yʌdi/ or ज6द /jʌdi/ 'if', जब /jʌb/ 'when', य€िप /yʌdyʌpi/ or जदिप

/jʌdʌpi/ 'although' among others are the adverbial-clause subordinators.
                                                                       ̃
                                  b. जौन /jɔn/ 'who', जे /je/ 'that', जहाँ /jʌɦɑ/ 'where' among others are the
                                     relative-clause subordinators.

                                  c. 6क /ki/ 'that', खाितर /kʰɑtir/ 'to' or 'in order to', -ए के /-e ke/ 'to' among others
                                     are the verb-complement subordinators.

                                                                    182
