                                 In example (33a-c), कCठन /kʌʈʰin/ 'difficult' in (33a-b) and गलत /ɡʌlʌt/ 'wrong'
                           in (33c) is the adjective of verbal complement.

                           c) Morphological properties of adjective
                           (i) Grammatical morphology

                                 Bhojpuri adjectives have a type of morphology for slightness as shown in (34a-c).
                              (34) a. -अfँ /-ʌɦũ/ as in उजर /ujʌr/ 'ujʌr'—उजरfँ /ujʌrʌɦũ/ 'whitish', कCरआ /kʌriɑ/

                                    'black'—कCरअfँ /kʌriʌɦũ/ 'blackish', िपअर /piʌr/ 'yellow'—िपअरfँ /piʌrʌɦũ/

                                    'yellowish', दबू /dʌbu/ 'coward'—दबकfँ /dʌbkʌɦũ/ 'cowardish'
                                  b. -हर /-ɦʌr/ as in गोर /ɡor/ 'olive'—गोरहर /ɡorɦʌr/ 'slightly olive'

                                  c. -उआ /-uɑ/ as in मीठ /miʈʰ/ 'sweet'—मीठुआ /miʈʰuɑ/ 'sweetish', खQा /kʰʌʈʈɑ/
                                    'sour'—खhटुआ /kʰʌʈʈuɑ/ 'sourish'

                                 Regarding degree of adjectives, Bhojpuri has no concrete markers for
                           comparative or superlative, but some morphemes that follow the adjectives to increase

                           their degrees but with contextual differences as in (35a-f).
                              (35) a. उजर /ujʌr/ 'white': उजर-सपेत /ujʌr-sʌpet/ 'white as the crust of eucalyptus',

                                     उजर-धपधप /ujʌr-d ̤ ʌpd ̤ ʌp/ 'brighty white'

                                  b. लाल /lɑl/ 'red': लाल-टेस /lɑl-ʈes/ or लाल-टहकाड़ /lɑl-ʈʌɦʌkɑɽ/ 'deeply red',
                                     लाल-कहड़वा /lɑl-kʌɦʌɽwɑ/ 'red due to beating' or लाल-िसमCरत /lɑl-simrit/

                                     'scarlet red', लाल-करजनी /lɑl-kʌrjʌni/ 'red (due to eye-disease)', लाल-कंडोल

                                     /lɑl-kʌnɖol/ 'sunrise or sunset red'
                                  c. िपअर /piʌr/ 'yellow': िपअर-दगदग /piʌr-dʌɡdʌɡ/ 'deep yellow', िपअर-आम
