newspapers and CBS report in Bhojpuri language are the secondary resources
of the data collection.
1.6 Significance of the study
Since the verb morphology of any language is the core area of grammar, this study
attempts to work in this field. The very study will help to analyze morphological
categories of Bhojpuri verbs. The verbal morphology of Bhojpuri language will
contribute to promote and preserve the language under study. It will help to support
the Bhojpuri community in their endeavor to develop and promote the use of the
language and to encourage the continuation of its use by the future generations.
1.7 Limitations of the study
This study is primarily restricted to the verb morphology of the Bhojpuri language.
The study is mainly based on the Bhojpuri language that is spoken in Bara and Parsa.
Priority will be given to direct elicitation of data from the concerned areas.
1.8 Organization of the research
The tentative organization of the research study would be as given below. The work
has been divided into seven chapters, including an appendix and reference.
