                    (ii) Certainty


                    Certainty denotes that the speaker is emphasizing that the proposition is true. The
                    marker for certainty is -- in Bhojpuri. It is directly suffixed to the root of the

                    verb.

                     (iii) Negation

                    Crystal  (2003:310)  defines  that  negativization  is  a  process  or  construction  in

                    grammatical  and  semantic  analysis  which  typically  expresses  the  contradiction  of
                    some or all of a sentence's meaning. In Bhojpuri  and   are the negativizing

                    morphemes, which are prefixed to the verb to negativize the clause or sentence. If two
                    verbs are concatenated, the negative morpheme precedes the verb stem. The negative
