e. Conditional (Subjunctive) mood
Conditional or subjunctive mood is contrast to declarative or imperative mood. It
refers to the verb form or sentence/clause types, used in the expression in subordinate
clause. The conditional is occurred in 'hypothetical' construction. In another word, in
conditional mood, a sentence, consists of an antecedent (or a condition) and a
consequent. The antecedent represents the event described by 'if' clause and -
'then' is the marker which shows the consequence or conditional clause in Bhojpuri,
which connects two clauses. But is optional in conditional sentence in Bhojpuri.
In conditional mood, individual clause shows the verb agreement according to its own
subject and tense. Let's see this in following examples:
